Traffic/Transportation:
Stoneham, MA Roadway Improvements: Developed construction design plans for approximately 3,500 linear feet of roadway improvements in Stoneham, MA including lane widening, pavement markings and interstate ramp realignment for state, local and privately classified roads. Additional responsibilities included watermain replacement design and the design of a new signalized intersection with associated signal timing plans and quantity estimates.
CVS Development: Developed traffic plans for the construction of a 13,000 square foot CVS in Bellingham, MA. Responsibilities included roadway design, pavement marking, signal timing, traffic management, and drainage plans. It also included Synchro analysis for the new coordinated signalized intersection to optimize traffic flow.
Cumberland Farms Development: Developed a Traffic Impact and Access Study (TIAS) for the development of a 4,560 square foot Cumberland Farms with fuel pumps in Franklin, NH. Study incorporated future build and no-build conditions of the development, typical vehicular and pedestrian impacts from the nearby high school, as well as crash and speed analysis.
Mixed Use Retail Development: Developed a Traffic Impact and Access Study (TIAS) for a 9,300 square foot Variety Store, a 3,000 square foot drive-in bank and 3,000 square foot restaurant with in Portsmouth, RI. Study incorporated build and no-build conditions of the development, typical vehicular and pedestrian impacts from the nearby high school, as well as crash and speed analysis. TIAS study was developed and prepared in accordance with RIDOT state guidelines.
Westfield Downtown Streetscape and Traffic Improvements: Worked on the traffic analysis for eight major intersections in Westfield, MA. This was part of the City’s streetscape improvements to develop conceptual traffic improvements based on existing traffic volumes. Analysis included using Synchro 8 to model the intersections during morning and afternoon peak hours along the downtown corridor for existing and proposed conditions.
Worcester Streetscape Improvements: Aided in developing construction plans for 5,800 linear feet of streetscape improvements to Plantation Street in Worcester, MA. Included grading, ADA compliance, construction details, etc.
Modeling: Thesis analyzed the effects of Transit Signal Priority (TSP) on local intersections in small-to-medium urban areas using S-Paramics and VISSIM to determine its effect on the network. Traffic modeling program comparison includes: S-Paramics, VISSIM, Synchro, CORSIM, TSIS, and TransCAD. (UMass graduate research)
Site/Civil:
Quincy Seawall Reconstruction: Provided onsite construction observer/engineer, responsibilities included materials and installation inspection for the replacement and reconstruction of 2,400 linear feet of ocean seawall and revetment. In addition, this project included an additional 500 linear feet of seawall and the construction or reconstruction of 26 beach access ways around the City of Quincy, MA.
Tobey Building Restoration: Generated permit plans, HydroCAD analysis, and traffic study for the 76,000 gross square foot renovated Tobey Building located in the State Office Park South in Concord, NH. Work included the incorporation of a parking garage, relocated road, grading, and associated utilities. In addition, a HydroCAD analysis and Alteration of Terrain (AoT) application were submitted, as well as, a Traffic Impact and Access Study and traffic movement counts.
Wayland Sidewalk & Culvert Replacement: Generated permit plans of site work design for the removal/replacement of an existing culvert and the addition of a 700 foot sidewalk for the Town of Wayland, MA. Work included HydroCAD calculations, a Stormwater Report, Notice of Intent (NoI), and construction permit plans.
